George Clooney Out In Japan
With Ocean’s Thirteen opening in Japan this week, George Clooney found himself doing press promotion in the land of the rising sun. And he says that his relationship with his co-stars is the key to such a fun film.
He told press, "It's a great project to be involved in because I really care about all the people I work with. They're really great friends of mine. We've done a million other projects together besides the 'Oceans.' And it's a fun character to play."
And while there would usually be an ego war with such an impressive ensemble cast, the Daniel Ocean actor says it wasn’t a problem on the Ocean’s set. "You won't see many movies in this day and age with that many big stars who are actively handing the spotlight to the people around them. They share everything with one another. They're not trying to grab the spotlight. It's a casual group. And I think that's the thing I loved the most about it -- how laid back everybody was."
Clooney kept plenty of humor in his press conferences, saying that he had compromising photos of Brad Pitt and Matt Damon that he used to leverage himself into the “leader role” on the film. With ambassadors like George, it’s got to be good for our foreign relations!
