Father Confirms Andrew Koenig's Body Found

Confirming the anticipated bad news, Andrew Koenig's parents have identified their son as that of the body found earlier today (February 25) in Vancouver, Canada.

The "Growing Pains" actor's father, Walter, gave a brief statement from Stanley park, where Andrew's body was located at 11:30AM, telling, "My son took his own life."

Walter, who is also an actor from the "Star Trek" series, continued, "What you can learn from this ... is that there are people out there who really, really care. Before you make that final decision ... talk to somebody."

According to TMZ reports, a spokesperson then took over the press conference, saying that a cause of death will not yet be released "due to the sensitivity of situation".
