Teaming up for a relaxing afternoon lunch outing, Katherine Heigl and Ellen Pompeo were spotted grabbing a bite to eat in Los Feliz on Wednesday (February 4).

The "Grey's Anatomy" gal pals opted to visit Cruzer Pizza & Pasta, with the duo joining a fellow female friend as they noshed on salads and sipped on wine.

Timed up just perfectly, the lunchtime meet-up comes just one day ahead of tomorrow's big "Grey's Anatomy" episode titled "Beat Your Heart Out," which kicks off the "Private Practice" crossover run.

According to E! Online reports, "It's a very positive episode for the love affairs between Owen and Cristina, Lexie and Mark, Izzie and Alex, Mer and Der and heck, even for Callie, who is aggressively single at the moment."

You can catch Katherine and Ellen on "Grey's Anatomy" airing on Thursday (February 5) on ABC at 9PM, with "Private Practice" following at 10PM.
