Keeping herself in tip-top shape, Dakota Fanning was spotted out for a fitness session in the Studio City, California on Tuesday (December 29).

The "New Moon" cutie was joined for the day's workout by gal pal Alessandra Garcia-Lorido, with the two lovely ladies working up a sweat at the local LA Fitness.

In related news, recent rumors tell that Miss Fanning is eyeing the lead role in Summit Entertainment’s Catherine Hardwicke directed flick, "If I Stay".

If she agrees, the 15-year-old actress will play Mia Hill, who is described as "a young woman who gets into a car accident and goes through an out of body experience while in a coma."
