Chris Pine Nabs Jack Ryan Role

Ever since he beamed up to stardom in the movie, “Star Trek,” Chris Pine has no problem landing new roles.

According to Variety, the 29-year-old is on board to star in a new Tom Clancy action series as Jack Ryan, a CIA analyst.

Paramount president, Adam Goodman, says in a statement: "With Chris in this role, we've taken our first step in creating a re-boot that lives up to the successful lineage of the franchise."

In other news, Pine is currently filming in an action film “Unstoppable” and will also be returning to Captain Kirk’s spacesuit for a sequel to “Star Trek.”
