Chris Brown: School Days

Doing everything he can to repair his marred public image, Chris Brown will be reading to school children at a charter school in Harlem, New York.

The “Kiss Kiss” hitmaker will attend the Sisulu-Walker Charter School’s annual Family Read Night in hopes of encouraging literacy in inner-city youth.

Principal Dawn Cejas told press, "I extended an invitation to all celebrities and politicians, and we had an acceptance by him."

One parent says she welcomes Chris despite his assault conviction stemming from his beating of Rihanna last year. "He can come even though he was arrested. He's coming to read to the children. He apologized on TV. Sometimes in real life we make mistakes."
