Chris Brown and Rihanna: A History of Violence?

As we continue coverage of the domestic dispute between Chris Brown and Rihanna, new details are emerging as to the nature of their relationship.

According to an LAPD source, the “Kiss Kiss” singer and his “Take a Bow” lady sound like they’ve had a history of violence in their relationship.

The police report, “We’re talk to her friends and management, who say she’s appeared with mysterious marks or injuries before, but always refused to explain what happened.”

Meanwhile, Brown’s cousin Phylicia Thompson is coming to his defense, telling press, "Chris was not brought up to beat on a woman. So it had to be something to provoke him for Chris to do it."

She continued, "He might feel down right now because his fans are looking down on him, like he's done something wrong. Of course, yes, he's done something wrong because he put his hands on her, but like I said, you don't know what happened. He had to be provoked to do it. Chris would never have done it."
