Charlize Theron's Premiere Night in Paris

While she's been spending time relaxing on the beaches of Malibu with her pet pooch as of late, Charlize Theron hopped on a flight to France to attend the premiere of her new movie in Paris on Monday night (March 2).

The Oscar winning actress was overseas promoting "The Burning Plain," joining director Guillermo Arriaga on the red carpet at the Cinema Publicus.

Scheduled to hit theaters in the States in September 2009, the drama also stars Kim Basinger and Diego J. Torres, among others.

As for the plot, IMDB describes Charlize's new flick as "a drama with a two-tiered storyline concerning a mother (Basinger) and daughter (Theron) who try to form a bond after the young woman's difficult childhood."
