Charlize Theron Rocks Meteor Awards

With the warm welcome Americans gave David and Victoria Beckham when they arrived in Los Angeles last summer, you gotta wonder if American celebrities get the same love in the UK. And based on Charlize Theron’s popularity at the RDS Simmonscourt yesterday, it seems the answer is ‘yes.’

The “Italian Job” actress and her longtime love Stuart Townsend descended on the 2008 Meteor Ireland Music Awards last night, looking very much in love.

While Charlize clung to her beau, she looked fabulous in a shimmery gold notched-top evening gown, while her Irish Director lover opted for a black suit/white shirt/black striped tie combo.

Nearby, the Dublin International Film Festival will be premiering the Theron-starring, Townsend-directed “Battle in Seattle” this weekend.
