She’s one of the most popular political figures in the world, and earlier today Carla Bruni-Sarkozy was spotted greeting a throng of fans while on an official visit to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The French First Lady looked quite graceful as she smiled and waved to the many spectators gathered to give her a warm Brazilian welcome, sporting a conservative-yet-sexy blue v-neckline dress.
Yesterday, Carla, her son Aurelien and her husband, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, were spotted out on the balcony of their swanky Copacabana Palace Hotel room before attending the official launch ceremony of the Year of France in Brazil at Vivo Rio Theatre in Flamengo.
The Governor of Rio de Janeiro State, Sergio Cabral, and the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, also attended the event, designed to develop partnerships between the two countries in the areas of culture, education, and economy.
Carla also met with Adriana Cabral, the First Lady of Rio de Janeiro State at the Fernando Figueira Institute to visit the Mik Bank.
