Britney Spears Spends Her Birthday With the Boys
As Britney Spears celebrated another year of life yesterday, she got to frolic around town with her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston. She took turns holding them, and pulling them in their wagon, and they actually looked happy for once.
And in her professional life, the “Toxic” singer just pulled the plug on a possible cover story for Rolling Stone. Contrary to popular thought, it may have been a good move.
Last year, Nick Lachey was supposed to land on the RS cover, only to find himself on US Weekly instead. The reason? Wenner Media owns both Rolling Stone and US Weekly, and he signed with the company, not the magazine.
Britney wasn’t about to make the same mistake, and when Jann Wenner (editor and publisher of Wenner Media) refused to promise her she’d be on Rolling Stone, she backed out.
An inside source told press, "It was going to be a good platform for her music to be taken seriously because it had been so long. But she refused to get screwed by Wenner. They kept negotiating, and it got nasty."
