Britney Spears: Life's Awesome After Federline

Throughout the course of her two year marriage, Britney Spears praised life as a wife and a mother. Just three months after filing for divorce, Spears now says she is enjoying her life as a single mother.

The recently separated Britney Spears, who attended a Mercedes-Benz week fashion show in New York this weekend said being single is “awesome”, when asked by People if she is enjoying life after K-Fed.

According to AHN, the newly brunette party animal was taking a break from recording and dance rehearsals to attend the Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons and KLS Collection Fall 2007 fashion show.

Britney was all dressed up for the event, donning a spaghetti-strap black dress, far removed from the pantiless, drunk images of her recent past.

A constant feature in the tabloid press, Britney has been criticized for everything from her parenting skills to dress sense since splitting with the former backup dancer.

However, designer Kimora Lee Simmons, defended the singer, saying, "Sometimes she gets a hard rap...[But] she is a very talented girl."

Britney's first studio album since becoming a mom of two is expected to hit stores mid-year.
