Balloon Boy Parents: Headed to Jail

They made national news back in October for pretending their 6-year-old had floated away in a balloon, and now the Heenes have made national news again- they are going to jail.

Richard Heene has received 90 days in jail and four years probation, while wife Mayumi was given 20 days in the slammer and four years probation.

The scandalous couple also received community service and is barred from profiting financially in any way from the incident for at least four years.

Of the “balloon boy hoax” Mr Heene has offered an apology, saying, "I do want to reiterate that I'm very, very sorry. And I want to apologize to all the rescue workers out there and the people that got involved in the community. That's it."
