Avril Lavigne Announces North American Tour

Avril Lavigne announced that she's embarking on a North American tour to promote her latest album, Best Damn Thing, and celebrated with a performance last night at West Hollywood's Whiskey-A-Go-Go.

The Sk8ter Boi singer showed all kinds of enthusiasm, as she told press that singing live is what she loves more than anything.

Avril told: "I'm really excited for 'The Best Damn Tour'. I have more singles to play, which can be the most exciting part of the show. I can't wait to get back out on the road! I have the most fun when I am performing for the fans. I think that energy comes through in my live show."

The tour, which will include 32 dates, is slated to begin March 5th in Victoria, B.C. And for those of you interested in catching Avril in concert, tickets go on sale on November 17th on LiveNation.com.
