Autopsy Planned for Jett Travolta

As previously reported by the Gossip Girls, John Travolta’s 16-year-old son Jett passed away yesterday morning (January 2) after presumably hitting his head on the bathtub while the family was on vacation in the Bahamas.

And according to recent reports, the family plans to have an autopsy to determine the actual cause of death. Jett was known to struggle with seizures, and it is believed that his medical condition may have had something to do with it.

Bahamian Parliament member Obie Wilchcombe told press, "John spoke with the minister of health and the doctors and police are at the hospital. They're very, very quick to resolve things," also noting that the autopsy was scheduled for this Monday.

During a telephone interview with Larry King last night, Wilchcombe commented about the close relationship between John and his son. "He always brought him along. There was a close affectionate relationship and lots of love. People in the old Bahama community today are in shock."

Travolta’s attorney Michael McDermott told press, "There was unspoken communication between the two. ... It's just so hard. Kelly [Preston, John’s wife and Jett’s mother] is very quiet and both are grieving. We're are all here and trying to help in any way we can. Their pain is so evident."
