Ashley Judd and Bono Promote AIDS Awareness
As mentioned earlier today by the Gossip Girls, Ashley Judd is taking a break from filming her new movie "Helen" in Canada for a little charity work.
The High Crimes actress, who flew out of Vancouver on Wednesday, sported a purple sari as she attended the YouthAIDS Benefit Gala on Friday at the Ritz Carlton in McLean, Virginia.
Hoping to raise worldwide awareness for HIV/AIDS education and prevention, the 39-year-old actress, who attended with U2 frontman Bono, recently told press, “There is an extraordinary, compelling, urgent problem.”
Besides attending last night's gala, Ashley also has a National Geographic and Cable Positive backed film called "India’s Hidden Plague" debuting on November 30th.
