Ashlee Simpson Gives TRL the Runaround

It’s the gossip that everybody is talking about… rumors about Ashlee Simpson’s pregnancy. And the “La La” singer certainly didn’t do anything to quell the buzz during a taping of TRL earlier today.

According to an inside source at the taping, Simpson blew off a question about her pregnancy by saying that if all the rumors about her were true, she “would have had a baby by now.”

The TRL gig (which is scheduled to air on Thursday) is Ashlee’s first public appearance since she announced her engagement to Pete Wentz.

Who knows? Perhaps all of this is just a publicity stunt to draw attention to her new album Bittersweet World, which is due to hit stores next Tuesday, April 22nd.
