Maybe there was a reason for her sudden engagement announcement, as breaking reports claim that Ashlee Simpson is pregnant with her first child.

According to an US Weekly source, the Pieces Of Me singer and her Fall Out Boy bassist fiance Pete Wentz are the latest couple to join the never-ending list of expecting celebrities.

So far, there's been no confirmation to the baby rumors, with Simpson and Wentz just announcing their engagement this past Wednesday.

"We are thrilled to confirm their engagement and congratulate this happy couple," a spokesperson said, adding, "Beyond that there is nothing to say."
