Angelina Jolie: Patching Things Up with Dad

They’ve been estranged for some time now, but it seems as if Angelina Jolie is ready to patch things up with her father, Jon Voight.

“We’re in contact now and writing letters,” Jolie told The Sun. “My parents gave me a strong social conscience as well as any acting genes I may have.

The “Wanted” actress continues, “Both my parents were very focused on helping other people and supported charities all their lives.”

The resumed contact comes after the father/daughter duo fell out several years ago after Voight said that Jolie had “severe emotional problems”.
