Amy Winehouse On the Mend, Says Mom

Looking healthier and happier by the day, Grammy winning singer Amy Winehouse was spotted heading out of her London hotel on Tuesday (February 12).

Amy, who was accompanied by good friend Blake Wood, strutted down the steps decked out in a low-cut, red top to go with a short grey skirt and a pair of black heels.

Meanwhile, Janis Winehouse (Amy's mom) told the U.K. morning show GMTV that she's very pleased and relieved with Amy's progress since her recent stint in rehab.

"She's on the road to recovery and that's what it's all about," Janis tells, adding, "She's definitely on the road back."

Speaking of Amy's decision to perform at the Grammys via satellite, Amy's mother said, "I think it would have been too much for her (to go to LA) because all of the traveling and flying there. I mean seeing what the Grammys were like, I thought if Amy were there, she'd be a little girl lost in it."
