50 Cent Lawsuit Dismissed
It looks like 50 Cent won’t have to go to court anytime soon, as a New York judge has thrown out a $50 million lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend.
Shaniqua Tompkins, with whom 50 shares an 11-year-old son, had claimed the rapper promised to take care of her for life.
Manhattan State Supreme Court Justice Carol Edmead dismissed the claims to half of 50 Cent’s assets, even though Tompkins said 50 Cent promised he would “support her forever” if he made it big.
The amount asked for turned out to be inappropriate and the judge said the 32-year-old rapper’s value is “set at no less than $50 million.” The judge also stated the relationship was “an unfortunate tale of a love relationship gone sour.”
Tompkins’ lawyer, Paul Catsandonis, said he will consider an appeal.
