Catherine Zeta Jones: Receiving Bipolar Treatment

With her husband Michael Douglas on the mend after being deemed cancer-free, breaking reports tell that Catherine Zeta Jones is receiving mental health care at a Connecticut facility.

According to the "Mask of Zorro" star's rep, the actress checked into the Silver Hill Hospital on April 6th to receive treatment for bipolar disorder.

Jones's spokesperson tells, "After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar Disorder."

The reports of Zeta-Jones' medical issues come just as it has been confirmed that the actress has quit as patron of a south Wales film festival after it was strongly criticized by visitors.

Doing so following the resignation of actor Michael Sheen, Catherine will not be attending the Swansea Bay Film Festival - which will take place between May 5-15th.
