Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's "Grindhouse" is being touted in ads as "the movie event of the year."

The well-reviewed, double-feature "Grindhouse" is a three-hour plus re-creation of a night at the movies in the early seventies, or thereabouts. While it has been heaped with praise, others say it's no "Cabaret," "The Godfather" or "Sounder."

The actress' recent dinner with the young and wealthy businessman at Los Angeles restaurant Il Sole was arranged by friends, who reportedly told her it would be a good business opportunity to go out on the date.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "It was a test run just to get her out with someone. It was a business dinner. He's extremely wealthy. He could definitely help Jen finance projects."

A representative for Mariah has refused to comment; only saying they would not speak about her personal life. Meanwhile, the glamorous diva recently reduced the crew of her latest film to tears with her moving singing.

For fans of Kill Bill, Sin City, and Pulp Fiction, you’re in for a treat. Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez have teamed up to make “Grindhouse”. The film opens Friday, and promises to be really really cool. However, the film had some drama in it’s making.

Production of Grindhouse ground to a halt last year when Rodriguez fell for his leading lady, Rose McGowan. To make matters worse, Rodriguez’s wife, Elizabeth Avellan, the mother of his five kids, found out. Ouch.

Believe it or not, the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards are a force to be reckoned with. With celebrities like Nicole Kidman, Jessica Alba, Ben Stiller, and Orlando Bloom in attendance, the KCA command serious star power.

The show aired live on Nickelodeon on Saturday night and was hosted by Justin Timberlake. The winners of the Kids' Choice Awards are selected using all of the different Nickelodeon digital platforms, including voting online through Nick.com or even texting in votes, like they do on American Idol.
