While she undergoes the final months of her pregnancy, Nicole Richie has decided that her pet cat, which survived a fall from her 10th floor apartment balcony last year, just had to go.

Apparently, the smell of her furry friend makes the former Simple Life starlet and expectant mother sick to her stomach. As a result, Ms Richie's famous tabby has ended up over at her singer father Lionel's house.

Yesterday, the X-Men actress set the record straight regarding her mother-to-be status. She told press, "Yes, I am three months pregnant. Gabriel and I are beyond excited and I've waited a long time for this moment in my life."
