The public outcry over Casey Anthony's acquittal has been widespread, and one juror has come forward to share his struggle with coming to a verdict.
The unidentified man told press, “I just swear to God, I wish we had more evidence to put her away. I truly do… but it wasn’t there.”
The saga continues as Casey Anthony was sentenced to four years in prison today for her conviction of lying to investigators.
However, it was just announced by a court official that the 25-year-old former murder suspect will be released from jail on July 13th because she’s already served three years behind bars, during which time she exhibited good behavior.
She sighed utter relief and cracked a smile earlier this week when she was deemed not guilty of killing her 2-year-old daughter, but today (July 7) Casey Anthony faced the judge to receive punishment for lying to police officers.
The mother of the late Caylee Anthony was given one year in jail for each count of lying to investigators minus time already served - which comes out to around one year left in lockup (though she could be let out of the slammer as soon as one month from now).

And according to a report, the distasteful verdict came as the result of the prosecution’s failure to provide irrefutable proof of the 25-year-old’s guilt.

After the verdict was announced on Tuesday (July 5), Anthony’s lawyer, Jose Baez, told press, "I want to start off by saying that while we're happy for Casey, there are no winners in this case. Caylee has passed on far, far too soon.”
Leaving the courtroom immediately after their daughter was cleared of the most serious charges including murder in the first degree, Casey Anthony's parents have spoken about the jury's findings through their lawyer, Mark Lippman.
George and Cindy Anthony's attorney told in a statement, "The family may never know what happened to Caylee Marie Anthony. They now have closure for this chapter of their life. They will now begin the long process of rebuilding their lives."
It has been a long and grueling court case, and moments ago Casey Anthony was found to be “not guilty” of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.
The 25-year-old defendant sat and listened as the jury announced their findings after the seven women and five men deliberated for more than ten hours.
Her trial has captivated the world, and Casey Anthony is finally facing her moment of judgement as the verdict in her murder case is set to be announced at 2:15PM ET today (July 5).
