Stretching out her acting legs, Carrie Underwood is gearing up for the release of her new movie “Soul Surfer” this Friday (April 8th).
The country singing sensation says her reason for choosing this film has everything to do with the story of Bethany Hamilton, a teenager who lost her arm in a shark attack only to return to the water shortly thereafter.
She explained, “The whole story was such an inspirational story. It's something that I would want my kids to watch and to know I did, you know, ‘Once upon a time whenever I have kids.'”
“Soul Surfer” also stars big names like Dennis Quaid, Helen Hunt, and AnnaSophia Robb.
