2011 Cannes Film Festival Poster Released

Next month actors and filmmakers from all over the world will converge for the 2011 Cannes International Film Festival.

And today the official poster was unveiled- it’s a shot of Faye Dunaway taken by Palme d’Or-winning director/photographer Jerry Schatzberg back in 1970.

This year’s festival will continue the already-stellar tradition of showcasing the best and brightest efforts of the realm of motion pictures.

Per the official website, “While maintaining a strong connection to its past, the Festival is very ready to take on board new and original concepts. Over the years, it has evolved, all the while seeking to preserve its core values: a passion for cinema, the discovery of new talent, and the assembling of professionals and journalists from around the world with the aim of contributing to the creation and distribution of films. During the 64th edition, to be held from 11th to 22nd May, projects will be conceived, experiences will be shared and different cultures will come into contact: it is this dynamism that makes the Festival de Cannes a true reflection of its time.”
