Cameron Diaz To Star in "The Counselor"

Possibly joining an already A-List cast, Cameron Diaz is now in talks to join Ridley Scott's new film "The Counselor," but her opportunity for the role comes with a twist.

According to a recent article put out by Twitch Film on Tuesday (May 8), the blonde bombshell is reportedly in negotiations to take the role of Malkina, which was previously appointed for Angelina Jolie

Now The Huffington Post is reporting that Jolie's preparation for her new film "Maleficent" could be the reason she isn't available to co-star next to her other half Brad Pitt.

The Cormac McCarthy written script focuses on a lawyer played by Michael Fassbender who finds himself in over his head when he gets involved in drug trafficking. Set for release in 2013 the new flick will also star Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem.
