Brittany Murphy’s Father: Not Invited to Funeral

It has been a terribly rough week for the family and friends of Brittany Murphy following her tragic death on Sunday morning. And as her funeral gets underway later today, there’s one person who won’t be in attendance - her father.

Angelo Bertolotti told press that he wasn’t invited to the funeral as he’s been estranged from the family for the past eight years.

Bertolotti told press he wouldn’t be able to attend even if he had been invited. “I just don’t want to see that happen, I just want to remember her alive. I’ll wait about a month to go out there [to her gravesite].”

He continued, “She had health problems, that was a fact, but nothing that I thought would come to this. She shouldn’t be where she is right now, I can’t understand it. Brittany was just a doll, she was good to everybody. She was just a big-hearted little girl, it’s a shame that she had to go like this.”
