Bret Michaels: Recovering from Heart Surgery

Continuing to battle through his ongoing medical issues, Bret Michaels is recovering following a successful heart surgery procedure in Phoenix on Monday (January 24).

The former Poison frontman was treated at the St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center to repair a hole in Michaels' heart.

A hospital spokesperson told the Associated Press is currently recuperating in ICU upon completion of the operation.

Prior to going under the knife, Bret told The Arizona Republic, "Barring any complications, I should be out within three to four days. Then, I will be down [resting] for three weeks. I don't know if I can sit around for that long, but I'll try my best."
