Gearing up for the unveiling of her new track “I Was Here,” Beyonce Knowles has been very deliberate about the day she chose to release the song.
During her interview with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS FM, the “Crazy in Love” singer shared she’ll drop her Diane Warren-written single on World Humanitarian Day.
Knowles chose August 19th as a way to honor the victims of the horrific 2003 bombing in Baghdad, and she told the UN assembly that it’s just one small effort to show she cares.
“We all see the headlines and think, ‘What can I really do to help?’ World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference.” she declared.
