Baby Blue Ivy Carter's Name Gets Dissected

It’s no secret celebrities love out of the ordinary names, so how did Beyoncé and Jay-Z come up with their brand new baby girl’s moniker of Blue Ivy?

While no official confirmation has been released, there is speculation that - because the “Empire State of Mind” rapper has three albums with the word blueprint in the title - the color has a special meaning.

And, as far as Ivy goes, somes fans are suggesting that it came from the Roman numeral (“IV”) for 4 because the “Love on Top” singer’s birthday is September 4, her hubby’s is December 4, they tied the knot on April 4 and reportedly have matching “IV” tattoos on their wedding fingers.

And let's not forget that Beyonce’s latest album is entitled 4!
