After a couple of major media outlets reported that Barbara Walters would be retiring in May 2014, Babs herself addressed the news on "The View" on Monday (April 1).
The 83-year-old journalist told viewers, "There were many reports last week that I was retiring from ABC and there was an assumption that I would be making an announcement today. The paparazzi were outside my home today . . . however, here I am, and I have no announcement to make."
After being MIA since her hospitalization during the presidential inauguration, Barbara Walters is ready to return to her seat on "The View."
On Tuesday morning, the 83-year-old journalist phoned into the show to announce that she would be back on Monday. Speaking with the whole crew, including her substitute, Brooke Shields, she shared, "I really miss you."
