Making his arrival at the White House, President Barack Obama was spotted landing in Marine One with his family yesterday (August 29).
The Commander-in-Chief was joined by his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, and his daughters Malia and Sasha as he walked the South Lawn.
President Obama also spent some time in New Orleans, Louisiana to mark the fifth anniversary of the disaster left behind by Hurricane Katrina.
Obama stated, "We all remember it keenly - water pouring through broken levees; mothers holding their children above the waterline; people stranded on rooftops begging for help; and bodies lying in the streets of a great American city. It was a natural disaster but also a man-made catastrophe; a shameful breakdown in government that left countless men and women and children abandoned and alone."
