Avon Foundation for Women Gala Draws Out the Stars

Always a spectacular evening, the stars gathered together to attend the 10th annual Avon Foundation For Women Gala in New York City on Tuesday night (October 26).

Held at Cipriani 42nd Street, the charitable soiree was spearheaded by Honorary Chair of the Avon Foundation for Women Reese Witherspoon, with Avon Spokesperson Patrick Dempsey also turning up with his lovely wife Jillian.

Also making appearances at the festive affair were Avon Spokesperson Christy Turlington, Avon Global Creative Color Director Jillian Dempsey, CEO of Avon Products Andrea Jung, as well as singer-songwriter and breast cancer survivor Melissa Etheridge.

As for the cause, The Avon Foundation's about us declaration tells that "[Avon] has been improving and saving women’s lives since it was founded in 1955, and we are proud to be the largest corporate philanthropy dedicated to women’s causes globally. Today our mission is focused on breast cancer and domestic violence, as well as emergency and disaster relief, touching lives across the country and around the world. Through 2010, Avon global philanthropy has raised and donated more than $800 million worldwide."
