"The Hills" to End After Season 6

Drawing an end to their hit MTV franchise, it has been announced that "The Hills" will come to a close with the upcoming sixth season.

Set to premiere on April 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, creator Adam DiVello told EW, "I think we've told the story of struggle and of finding yourself in L.A. A lot of these kids have found themselves and have certainly embarked on different careers and different paths."

Talking about what fans can expect in the upcoming episodes, DiVello tells, "We tell the whole story. We pick right up where Heidi goes and sees her parents. And our cameras are there that minute the mother opens the door and sees her daughter for the first time."

Of rumors that Spencer Pratt is leaving the show, Adam says, "Spencer is dealing with some stuff right now, and once he gets through that, we'll be back to shooting with Spencer again. Bottom line is you will see him. He'll be in most of the episodes."

And while nothing's set in stone, DiVello also left open the possibility of a brief return by the show's original star, Lauren Conrad!
