Anderson Cooper: Evacuated from Fukushima Plant

He’s got a reputation as a fearless journalist, but Monday night even Anderson Cooper was a bit freaked out by the possibility of radiation exposure at the Fukushima nuclear power plant.

The CNN reporter was on the air giving an update near the plant while chatting via satellite with nuclear expert contributor Jim Walsh.

And at one point, Cooper interrupted Walsh to ask nervously, “Should I get out of here?” Walsh reassured Anderson that he’d be okay, but a few hours later Cooper and his crew were evacuated by Japanese officials.

And while the live coverage was unable to continue, Anderson kept the public up-to-date on his status via his Twitter page.
