Nicki Minaj Brightens Up the 2012 American Music Awards

Always one to make a grand entrance, Nicki Minaj arrived at the NOKIA Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (November 18) for the 2012 American Music Awards.

The 29-year-old songstress showed off her unique style in a blindingly bright yellow frock, as she greeted fans and mingled with fellow guest, Christina Aguilera.

Coming off a win at the MTV European Music Awards, Minaj hopes to keep the streak going. She is nominated for four awards: favorite pop/rock female artist, favorite pop/rock album, favorite rap/hip hop artist and favorite rap/hip hop album.

During the course of the show, the “Starships” sweetie is set to offer up one of her high-spirited performances. Other acts include Usher, Carrie Underwood, and Taylor Swift.
