It has been speculated that they’d be headed to “American Idol” in the upcoming season, and now it’s official- Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez will both be in the judge’s seat.
The announcement came from Ryan Seacrest this morning, much to the delight of “Idol” fans all over the nation.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Jennifer Lopez is indeed headed to the “American Idol” judges panel, and she’s getting a hefty sum for her time.
According to an inside report, the “Wedding Planner” actress will received $12 million for her services on the show’s 10th season.
Earlier this summer it looked as though things weren’t going to work out, but all of a sudden Jennifer Lopez is said to be all set as one of the new judges on “American Idol.”
According to a report, the “Waiting for Tonight” songstress is in final contract negotiations with the show, and she’ll join Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler when the new season begins.
Backing up ongoing rumors surrounding her expected departure, it has been confirmed that Kara DioGuardi's run on "American Idol" is officially over.
Joining Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres as exiting judges, Kara told, “I felt like I won the lottery when I joined American Idol two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave Idol."
She’s a worldwide superstar, and yesterday (August 19) Mariah Carey was spotted causing a stir in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The “Always Be My Baby” songstress smiled and waved to fans who had gathered outside her luxurious hotel as she made her exit.
With all the changes going on over at “American Idol,” it seems one thing is certain- Steven Tyler will be sitting in a judge’s seat in the upcoming season.
According to Gossip Cop, the Aerosmith frontman has put pen to paper and signed a contract with the show after a lengthy negotiation process.
She’s one of the most successful singers of all time, so it’s no wonder Mariah Carey has been eyeing the newly-vacant judge’s seat on “American Idol.”
And according to her husband Nick Cannon, Carey would gladly entertain an offer to help guide the next season’s pop star hopefuls.
Putting an end to recent rumors, FOX TV executives said on Monday (August 2) that there are no signed agreements for any new judges on the next “American Idol” at this point.
Entertainment chairman of FOX, Peter Rice, told press, "No-one has signed a deal on either side of the camera to be on 'Idol' who wasn't on it last year. There are no signed deals with anybody."
With all the changes going on over at “American Idol,” Steven Tyler has been rumored to be taking over for Simon Cowell.
And at his concert in Las Vegas, the Aerosmith frontman talked about the possibility of accepting the gig.
She left her fans feeling sad when she resigned from “American Idol” this week, and now Ellen DeGeneres’ departure is being discussed by two of her former colleagues.
Simon Cowell, who has also left the show, told press, "As I got to know Ellen, I grew to really, really like her. I have huge respect for her because she's always been in control of her own destiny."
