Revealing who he thought should win back in April, Adam Lambert hoped that the top picks of American Idol would be Crystal Bowersox, Casey James, Lee DeWyze, and Michael Lynche.
“[T]hose four really stand out as authentic, pure, amazing vocals," Lambert said.
With Michael Lynche eliminated, the singer has decided to root for Crystal all the way. "If I had to pick one out of those three, I'd probably lean more toward Crystal at this point," he told. "I like her anti-establishment rebelliousness."
And while many feel that Bowersox may not be the champion, Lambert has learned that being runner up isn’t so bad – as he has been busy in Europe where he performed in England, Holland and Finland.
"I've been gone," he said. "I haven't been able to watch it."
And although he is hoping for Crystal to take the win, he has respect for all the remaining contestants. "All three of them are excellent singers," he said. "They're all really organic and kind of authentic in what they do. They're all likeable. They were all really nice when I met them on set."
