Adam Lambert Announces Acoustic Album Plans
He's been busily touring all parts of the world, and now Adam Lambert has announced plans to release a new acoustic album.
Breaking the news to Aussie host Dylan Lewis, the "American Idol" alum revealed that he hopes to release the new offering by late November/early December 2010.
Lambert dished, "There is going to be an acoustic CD,. I don't have an exact release date. Probably around Thanksgiving time — November, December."
Going into more detail, Adam continued, "We went around Europe in the earlier part of this year ... and we did a lot of promo, so I had Monty, my guitar player, and my drummer at the time ... We just did very stripped-back versions of the songs. We got our hands on some of those recordings. Then we also recorded some of the stuff from the actual Glam Nation Tour, so it's going to be a mix of both."
As for his plans to embark on recording a second studio album, Lambert dished, "There's a new album that is definitely being theorized. It's being thought about, it's bubbling to the surface. I have things that I'm writing down, little notes that I'm writing here and there, but nothing's started yet on it. But hopefully it'll be out by the spring or summer of next year."
