50 Cent Scores “Freelancers” Gig

Continuing to expand his resume, 50 Cent has announced he’ll star in “Freelancers,” an upcoming crime drama.

The “In Da Club” rapper will play the son of a murdered New York City police officer who joins the force only to find himself on a team of “rogue Gotham cops.”

“Freelancers” will see Fiddy reunite with his “Candy Shop” music video director Jessy Terrero, who also directed “Soul Plane.”

And it sounds like 50 is uber serious about his film career, as he told MTV News he hopes to win an Oscar someday. “Shoot for the stars if you would do that.”
